5. Don’t use any phishing sites: Beware of those phishing sites! While making online transaction always check for the certificate of the site. You will always find these certificates are represented in four colors for example Red color indicates that the certificate is invalid, outdated or has an error, Yellow color indicates that the authenticity of certificate cannot be verified , White color indicates that the certificate has a normal validation and which means that the communication between the website and browser is encrypted and lastly Green represents that the certificate has an extended validation with the confirmed authority certification.



6. Beware of the phishing emails in your inbox: Don’t keep phishing emails in your inbox. You might get emails requesting personal information or your credit cards details or they might ask you to click a link to a website that then asks you to verify your username and password or other details, try to avoid such mails. Lawful businesses and banks will never ask you for this information on email. Also, beware of the calls that you get regarding the confirmation of your personal or account information as you don’t know to whom you are talking to. Best option is to tell them that you will call them back and then call your credit card company to ensure that if that call was legimate.
