3. Use Secured sites: Ensure that you use a secured websites for entering your credit card information. Always check for the padlock symbol at the bottom right of your browser window and also check if the website begins with 'https://'. If the website begins with http:// then that particular site is not secured, and https:// is considered as a secured encrypted connection. One example is https://www.paypal.com. In https:// ‘s’ stands for secured using SSH. Wait! Don’t stop here, look if the certificate of that particular website has a current certificate and they are registered at the right address.



4. Use personal computer: This is very important! Try to use your own computer or electronic gadgets like tablets and mobiles for any kind of financial transactions. Public computers are like an open library anyone can access anything. It is seen that most of the public computers will save your username and password they have cookies saved in their browsers that makes it liable for security while using some confidential information. While doing online transactions it is better that you don’t even use your friend’s laptop or mobile as their security may have been compromised. Also, it is better to connect to the internet using a secured Wi-Fi connection as it protects your password. But also, doing financial transactions over a public Wi-Fi connection is said to be highly unsafe and non-recommendable.
