Akshay Samel:





Akshay Samel’s profession is nowhere related the sports, he however managed to spare quality time for sports in spite of his busy schedule. This minimal training has helped Samel in completing three triathlons till date; Taiwan in 2013, Malaysia in 2014 and Hawaii in 2015. By profession Samel is a pilot and his profession has never been a hurdle for him to be fit enough. Therefore Samel is training for the next championship too, which is going to be held in Australia. Samel said to Homegrown “Fitness is doing better, being better and improving all the time.”



Deepak Raj:





Deepak Raj, a fitness coach by profession, was always driven by his interest towards participating in the Ironman championship. Raj is one among those Indians who held the record of the highest participation in Ironman championship, considering that he has participated in 13 championships till today. Raj was a corporate professional before he entered the fitness world and in order to follow his passion he opted sports as his profession. Raj said “Fitness is an outlet, a way to unwind from my everyday activities and it provides me with positive energy and positive lifestyle behaviors and attitudes.”
