Processor: In terms of processing, Samsung takes a step forward. Based on reports, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Smartphone is likely to hit the Indian shores with a 1.6 octa-core (eight core processor). Compared to HTC One which has a 1.7 GHz Snapdragon processor, the octa-core might be faster.

Battery: Galaxy S4 has a bigger 2600 mAh battery when compared to HTC which comes with a 2300 mAh battery. HTC One promises 13 hours talk time for 3G, 10 hours for video playback and 9 hours web surfing capability. But S4’s processor is big as well, taking away more power consumption.

User Interface Features: With a lot of claims that Samsung has made, its S4 is well equipped with a bundle of features. Smart Scroll allows users to enjoy scrolling through content such as email on the screen, with face movements and wrist gestures. Smart Pause is another feature that can pause a video when you’re not watching on screen, without touching it. By simply swiping over the device, Air Gesture lets you pick up calls without touching the screen. Unlocking and controlling the phone can also be done like this.
Air view functionality is another feature where users can preview content by simply holding or hovering their finger over it. This works well for email, Flipboard, photos and calendar.
The other side of competition shows HTC One with a new feature called BlinkFeed. This is a user live tile UI, similar to Windows Phone 8 tiles and Flipboard. It works like an aggregator for news content, videos and photos.
Both the phones are offering a variety of options. But S4 seems to be an advantage with a bigger processor, screen and Air Gesture features.
