Will Automation Use Low Energy Bluetooth and Wi-Fi?



Apple has gained a lead here in comparison to Google, by installing the low energy devices into all of its devices. Primarily, this is a plus point as the name Bluetooth is very much popular among the consumers and has already acquired recognition among them.



 Moreover, as Apple has invested a lot in putting up this low energy Bluetooth, Apple’s Homekit will be easily communicating with all the Apple devices like iPad and iPhone.



In addition, Apple has already made a partnership with 17 companies including Broadcom, Philips, Honeywell and Belkin. These companies are creating products that appeal to consumers or services that add value to the Apple’s Homekit.



These companies have introduced smart lightbulbs, locks, fans, thermostats, garage doors and power outlets.



Why Google’s Thread Might Beat Apple’s Bluetooth



While Apple got a point by installing low energy Bluetooth devices, Google is not just backstage. It has created an industry including different countries like Samsung committed to a rival networking protocol called Thread.



Nest Samsung is a well known developer of wide range of devices expected to be seen in a Smart home like washing machine, refrigerator and so on. Sam sung is the only company that seems to replace Apple in case of smartphone market share.



Acquiring Nest Labs has already put Google on top of the smart devices market. The Nest associated Thermostat is scores the qualities of being user friendly, affordable and proving right to the term home automation. Google has the potential to flourish on Nest Labs good reputation with a wide range of products.
