Rumours Of Apple iOS 9, Features And Upgrades Awaits This September

BENGALURU: The WWDC15 which is Apple’s biggest event, with the tag line ‘epicenter of change’ is all set to take place from June 8-12. It is an event that showcases the next level iOS and OS X. There are on-going rumors as to how the new iOS 9 operating system will look, some of which state that it will get a new font design, reports The Indian Express.



New font design



Apple will be removing Helvetica Neue font which was introduced with iOS 7 and the Apple Watch font, San Francisco since Helvetica did not attract too many fans and the latter did not look good on non-retina display screens.



Beats Music



The tech giant bought Beats Music Streaming service for $3 billion in 2014 and is working on a new app that will compete with Spotify and Rdio, which will integrate with iOS, iTunes and Apple TV.



Transit for Apple Maps



Transit apps will help users navigate subways, train routes, and bus services using Apple Maps. Apple maps has not been the best of iOS, while most people prefer Google maps. However this will be taken into discussion in WWDC, this September.



Upgrade for Siri



Initially, when Siri was released it offered users with Apple-voice command to identify songs. Later, Apple introduced ‘Hey Siri’, which allowed users to start a question with a phrase. But it remains unknown, whether Apple will introduce an upgrade until this September.



HomeKit



A rumor that HomeKit will be renamed to Home will include Features like virtual rooms will help users to organize ‘smart’ accessories on their home page, to suit their requirements. However, we will have to wait for further announcements.



Compatibility with older iPhones



With the launch of the iOS 9, other Apple users will feel deserted, with their iPhones and iPads running slow. A time when iOS 7 was introduced in 2013 most users faced problems in terms of looks and design and how their iPhone 4 and 4s became slow. Similarly, a time when iOS 8 released, users complained how their iPhones 5c and 5s settings app were constantly crashing. However, there is a speculation that iOS 9 will be compatible with other devices.
