HP Launches Spectre x2 - A Hybrid Windows 10 Laptop

BANGALORE: Soon after the Microsoft’s announcement of Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, HP unveils their version of Hybrid Laptop and it called the Spectre x2, reports Tech2.



By far, the HP Spectre x2 resembles the Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 as Spectre x2 also runs on Windows 10. Engadget points out, “Far from being just an imposter, though, the x2 sets itself apart in several key ways, with a more adjustable kickstand and a sturdy, potentially more comfortable keyboard.”



Nevertheless, Spectre x2 is different from the Surface Pro 4 tablet as it comes equipped with keyboard. Whereas, Surface Pro 4 users have to purchase keyboard separately, on the other hand, HP also announces the HP Active Pen along with the new Hybrid laptop and it should be purchased after market.



According to Windows blog, the Spectre x2 is capable of capturing good pictures with the help of its three cameras. The two cameras in the new HP laptop allows the user to capture selfies and it is can capture 3D pictures by using the two cameras simultaneously.



HP Spectre’s price starts from $799.99 (Approx. Rs.52,000) and comes with three variants with options like M3, M5, and M7 processor with 4GB or 8GB of RAM. On the storage part, it sports 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of internal memory; also it has SD card reader and two USB-C ports.



The new HP Spectra x2 will be delivered in the U.S. starting from November 8.
