Honor 7 Users to Get Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update

BANGALORE: The Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and Services Company Hawaei has announced Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its Honor 7 Smartphone. The phone was launched earlier in October and sale went on through e-commerce giant Flipkart. The phone was priced at Rs.22, 999. The update will be available only for all Honor 7 users who register for the OTA update, reports Tech2



The Honor 7 was launched in India with Android 5.0 Lollipop and it features 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LCD display, 3 GB RAM and 16 or 64GB internal storage option, 20MP rear camera with PDAF and dual LED flash. The manufacturer made an official post on their Facebook page and asked the users to register their details in order to get OTA updates. The registration link leads to fill in details of the phone’s current software version, EMI number, email address and contact number as an optional information.



The company also stated that, in the current scenario the users will be updated with their OTA within a day or two once they have submitted their request. The Marshmallow updation is expected to provide with the latest features such as Google’s now on Tap search assistant, better app permissions, app linking and native fingerprint support for the Honor 7’s fingerprint scanner along with performance and battery life improvements.
