HCL launches new range Android-based tablet PCs in India

Bangalore: HCL Technologies has launched a range of Android-based tablet PCs in India, with prices starting from Rs.14,990.

HCL has rolled out three Android-based tablet PCs. Two of them are 7-inch models - the HCL Me AE7-A1 and HCL Me AM7-A1. The HCL Me AE7-A1 is priced at Rs. 14,990 and is powered by an 800 MHz ARM processor. The tablet runs Froyo (Android v.2.2) and weighs 400 grams. It also features a 0.3 megapixel camera.

The Me AM7-A1 is priced at Rs. 22,990 and it comes with an inbuilt 1.3 mega pixel camera. It is lighter at 300 grams. The device offers GPS navigation and support Wi-Fi.

The HCL Me AP10-A1 has a 10-inch screen and is powered by a Cortex A9, 1GHz processor. It is heavier than the other two devices at 750 grams and supports 1080 pixel high definition videos. The HCL Me AP10-A1 is priced at Rs. 32,990.
