Bangalore: Google is not just a search engine; it has produced many other products and services which you may or may not know. It seems Google has tried it luck in several biggest products ranging from self-driving cars to augmented reality glass. 1. Google Web Accelerator
Google Web Accelerator was first released in May 20, 2005 as beta. It was an extension for web browser to fasten the browsing experience. It used data caching on Google’s servers to speed up page load time and it also caused privacy concerns because it temporarily stored the browsing history on Google’s servers.
In 2008 Web Accelerator was discontinued because people started getting access to high speed internet or broadband which made this application as inappropriate.
