5 Startups Bringing Change to Wedding Industry in India

IIT alumni are always known for their out of the box ideas and Sourabh Varma, Ajay Pandey and Harsh Vardhan had something similar in mind. The trio launched their startup Marrily in August this year which is a matchmaking mobile app. Users can sign in through Facebook and for verification have to submit a selfie. Marrily uses an algorithm where preferences are identified and accordingly suggestions are forwarded to users. Users are allowed to mingle with the interested people using the in-app chat to discover connectivity and establish a bond. Profiles can be liked or rejected without notifying the other person. The app has so far 500 users.
