3. Hyundai Elantra
The new fifth generation Hyundai Elantra that competes with Corolla Altis and Volkswagen Jetta is all ready in the showrooms. With a price tag of Rs.19.02 lakh, the Elantra comes with a 1.8-litre VTVT petrol engine and 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engine. While the petrol engine offers a 149.5PS at 6,500rpm and 178Nm of max torque at 4,700rpm, the diesel engine produces 128PS at 4,000rpm and 260Nm of peak torque in between 1,900-2,750rpm.
