Nissan Launches Variant Of Micra With Automatic Transmission

MUMBAI: Nissan India on Tuesday launched a variant of its popular hatchback Micra with an automatic transmission option at a starting price of Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Micra, which is the Japanese company's maiden rollout from Chennai plant is also the most exported hatchback from the country. It is available in over 100 markets globally and the company has sold more than 6 million units.

The new model with a new interiors and automatic transmission come without any price increase, said Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India.

The new Micra comes with the globally acclaimed NissanX-tronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) that delivers more mileage than a manual transmission for added value in terms of fuel economy.

Micra is offered in petrol, petrol CVT and diesel power trains, with the diesel variant returning a maximum mileage of 23.08 kmpl.

The new Micra will be on sale at all 232 Nissan showrooms across the country from today.
