Hanhai Studio Announces Hollywood Entertainment Festival Aims to Explore US-China Opportunities

Hanhai Studio, a cross-border business accelerator specializing in the US-China entertainment announced the2018 Hollywood Entertainment Festival (HETFest) which will be held on October 3, 2018 from 9.30am – 5.30pm, PDT at Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood, California. This festival will serve as a platform for visionaries, content creators, entrepreneurs, and investors, also it promotes collaborations in the US-China landscape of entertainment and technology industries.

Hanguang Wang, Chairman, Hanhai Studio, says, "In the ever-changing world of entertainment and technology for the two biggest players in these industries, U.S. and China, there is a need to help streamline and identify genuine cross-border opportunities. The Hollywood Entertainment Technology Festival is designed to bridge these opportunities with the goal of creating a truly global collaborative environment,"

The program features panel discussions from a group of experts on topics such as, Location-Based Entertainment, Big Data in Hollywood, Esports, Diversity: Asian Representation in Hollywood, Blockchain for IP and Entertainment, Augmented Reality (AR), and more. Speakers include Robert Stromberg (two-time Academy Award winner), Joanna Popper (Global Head, VR & Location Based Entertainment, HP) and Jack McCauley (Co-Founder, Oculus). Also, an interactive expo will be conducted for attendees to try the latest experiences from innovative companies. Industrial designers will also get a chance to compete before a panel of judges for cash prizes and a trip to Foshan, China to receive manufacturing opportunities to help make their designs into reality.

Founded in 2015, Hanhai Studio offers consultative support services to explore cross-market opportunities, resources and investments to accelerate a company’s growth and expansion into a new market. Several fests were conducted to nurture and build new business relationships. It is a joint venture of Hanhai holdings, Xinhua Mobile Television and Tsinghua University Planning and Design Institute for Creative Industries.
