RRB Recruitment Admit Card for ALP & Group D Releasing Soon!



Indian Railways announced its recruitment drive for Group C and Group D through the Railway Recruitment Board on 10th February this year. RRB is an autonomous body that carries out the recruitment drives for the Indian Railways along with various other competent authorities and various other Departments of the Government of India. Railway Recruitment Board has its 21 branches throughout the country, these branches will be responsible for providing the admit cards to the appearing candidates in the due time. RRB Admit card will be released on the 5th August 2018, candidates can download the admit card from the official website of Indian Railways.



The official notification was published as Centralized Employment Notification (CEN 01/2018 and CEN 02/2018). This recruitment drive as announced by RRB is being said to be the record-breaking Employment drive providing about 1 lakhs for which more than 2 crores candidates have applied. The news has spread as a wildfire across the world. Various news websites even compared the number of applicants to be around the population of the Australian continent.



The vacancy in Group C is announced to be around 26,500 which is most likely to be increased up to 60,000 more as recently announced by the RRB on its official website by extending the previously published notifications. For Group D also, the vacancies are about 62,907 for the post of Grade Officer. RRB also admits that out of 2.5 crores applicants, 75 Lakh applicants were rejected due to various reasons.



RRB Admit Card 2018



All the regional RRBs will be publishing the respective admit cards from the region on their respective official websites. The admit cards will be available on the official websites 4 days prior to the exam dates. The candidates may visit the websites and download the admit cards. The admit cards are the most necessary documents. The exam dates for the Group C (Assistant Loco Pilot) are declared to be the 9th August 2018. whereas the Examination for the Group D Recruitment (Grade Officer) are scheduled to be conducted in the month of September 2018.



CEN 01/2018 notification for Group C Recruitment was published on 2nd February whereas CEN 02/2018 notification for Group D Recruitment was published on 10th February 2018. The application p[rocedure for both the recruitment drive is already over by 31st of March 2018. The candidates are now waiting for the release of RRB ALP Admit Card.



The step-wise process to download RRB Admit Card:



Candidates can see through these steps to know how to download the admit card.



  • The candidate must visit the official website of the RRB.


  • The links for the various regions of RRB will be available on the main website of the RRB.


  • Candidates may choose the respective link to the region which they belong.


  • The candidate would have to fill in the login details on the login portal.


  • The link for the download of admit card will be present using which the candidate can view the admit card.


  • The candidate must check all the details that are mentioned on the admit card before downloading.


  • The candidate must take the printout of the admit card on the A4 size white background paper, in black-n-white coloration.


  • The candidate must take 2-3 Xerox copies of this to admit card to avoid any kind of loss or misplacement.


Cut-off Marks required for each category candidate



General Category candidates must score 40% of the marks and OBC candidates must score at least 30% marks to qualify the examination. The SC and ST candidates cut-off mark has further dropped to 30% and 25% respectively. The candidates can read the information brochure for the much detailed information.



Exam Pattern followed in RRB Recruitment examination



Both the examination first stage will be a computer based online examination which will be followed by the series of further tests for the selections of the candidates.



For Group C, the prelim exam will be followed up by the mains exam which will also be a Multiple choice question type examination like the preliminary examination. Next step will be an aptitude test which will also be a computer-based and multiple choice too. The aptitude test is for selected posts under Group C Recruitment.



For Group D, the first round will be similar to the Group C as a computer-based examination, which will be further followed by a Physical Efficiency Test. PET will be judging the candidates according to their categories on physical criteria and the fitness. The complete information is available over the information brochure available for download on the official website. The final selection will be done by document verification. Candidates with incomplete documents will not be advanced for the recruitment. The authorities will be verifying the eligibility documents, caste documents, categorical documents, medical certificates, etc. Unlike Group C examination, Group D examination would be deductive marks for each wrong answer about 1/3rd of the mark of each right answer.
