Sampo Hietanen, Founder & CEO, MaaS Global, says, “We are extremely happy that we have been able to prove the MaaS concept really works. Our investors believe in our growth and they wanted to invest more and give us the opportunity to scale and grow faster. Now we are able to strengthen our global presence and keep on being the fore runner in this new and exciting industry.”
MaaS Global’s Whim mobility service operates in Helsinki, West Midlands and Antwerp. Post securing the funding, the organization plans to expand global footprint. Sampo’s vision in the mobility sector is showing significant progress and the funding takes MaaS global to repeat the success in new markets and take brand’s presence on a global level.
“We have succeeded because of our amazing team. We have also been able to build a working model with our partners, which work well in both ways. There is no way we could have done this without our own team’s hard work and the support from our partners”, Sampo adds.

It aims to provide people an alternative to owning a car, hereby fulfilling people’s every travel need by enabling a future of easy, efficient and sustainable mobility.
