BANGALORE: Last year, BlackBerry allowed their Smartphones to support Android apps with an update which nearly saved the company from people not choosing the BlackBerry. Later towards year end, BlackBerry moved to Samsung Electronics and built a solid partnership with the company.

This year, BlackBerry has joined hands with Google to enable its software to manage and secure some of the Google’s Android devices. This move will be a plus point for the company along with Samsung on the other side, reports Reuters.

Last November, BlackBerry declared the partnerships with Samsung and other high-profile technology industries. This was done in order to expand their horizon and prove their comeback to mobile-device management and security platform.

Reportedly, BlackBerry said they are offering a ‘highly secure mobility solution’ for Samsung manufactured Android devices. The BlackBerry’s security platform merges well with the South Korean company’s own security software for its array of Galaxy devices that are powered by Google’s Android Operating System.

Recently, BlackBerry announced a tie-up with Google to manage devices operational on Android for Work; which is Google’s own solution to securely divide business, personal data and applications. BlackBerry’s shares rose 4.3 percent to $10.71 in the market, followed by the tie-up announcement by Nasdaq.
