BANGALORE:  What is the foremost thing one has to take care when he is visiting a grocery shop? It is the quality of products marked at requisite prices, isn’t? But many times, we are deployed by the cunning tricks of the grocery store owners to get us to spend more money.

Consumer Reports senior projects editor, Tod Marks explains that anything specifically packaged or presented to make your life easier tends to carry an unusually high price. "Watch out for items that are packaged for convenience or single use," he says.  Here are the 7 most overpriced items that you should never buy at a grocery store, as compiled by Business Insider

#1.Economy-sized products

A well-planned bulk purchase of an item can save you a lot of money and in turn the quantity will be more. But it is not true in many cases.  Marks has seen many instances where the larger size wasn't actually any cheaper. "The only way to tell is to look at the unit price labels, beneath the price on each product," he said. "By and large, it's still true, but there are plenty of examples of other sizes being cheaper based on promotional activity or what's on sale at any given time."
