Key Indian Equity Indices Open Lower

MUMBAI: The key Indian equity indices on Monday opened lower.

The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) was trading 81.81 points or 0.28 pct lower soon after opening.

The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading 28.45 points or 0.31 pct lower at 9,079.55 points.

The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 29,395.68 points, was trading at 29,339.59 points (at 9.17 a.m.), lower 81.81 points or 0.28 pct from the previous day's close at 29,421.40 points.

The Sensex touched a high of 29,420.70 points and a low of 29,335.78 points in the trade so far.
