Bangalore: Though the last financial year 2011-12 was bad for the market as Nifty was down by 9 percent and Sensex down by 10.5 percent, there were some stocks which made their investors immensely happy by making huge profit. MoneyControl has come up with the following successful stocks -



1. Idea Cellular



Gained: 46.48 percent to Rs.98.8 from Rs.67.45



Market Cap: Rs.32,703 Crore



Idea Cellular is a mobile services operator in India. Idea is a pan-India integrated global system for mobile communication (GSM) operator and has its own national long distance (NLD) and international long distance (ILD) operations. IDEA Cellular is an Aditya Birla Group Company. The Company provides mobile services in all 22 service areas of India. The Company operates in two business segments: Mobility Services and Long Distance. Mobility Services provide GSM based mobile and related telephony services. Long Distance provides national and international long distance services. In March, 2011, the Company launched its 3G services and same is extended to 9 out of these 11 service areas. On January 20, 2011, the Company launched mobile number portability (MNP), an invite to all Indian mobile customers to change their wireless operator, while retaining their mobile number.



Idea Cellular is currently traded at Rs.94.55 and previously closed at Rs.96.90. Its 52 week high is Rs.103.70 and 52 week low is Rs.62.10. It is traded with an average volume of 2,014,246 everyday.
